Monday 8th and Tuesday 23rd September, Guided Walks on Looe (St George’s) Island Nature Reserve Join the island's wardens for a fascinating walk around the nature reserve. The 31/2 hour trip starts with a boat crossing from Looe to the nature reserve where you’ll be met by the resident wardens. During the walk the wardens will help you spot wildlife such as wonderful grey seals and impressive great-blacked gulls, describe how the island is managed and of course explain how the island was left to Cornwall Wildlife Trust by the amazing Atkins sisters. Afterwards there’ll be an optional slide show inside the charming Jetty Cottage or time to independently explore the island before your boat journey back to the mainland.

Not only has Looe just won ‘Silver” in the British Travel Awards ‘Best UK Coastal Resort’ category, tickets have just gone on sale for Looe Music Festival 2014.
After a hugely successful event in September, when thousands of music lovers descended on the Cornish port of Looe, the organisers have decided to do it all again next year and with three successful events under their belt, the fourth annual event with be held over the weekend of 19th, 20th and 21st September 2014.
The location is, without a doubt, spectacular for visitors and performers alike. A well-organised event with a fantastically friendly and fun atmosphere. Add to that an impressive list of headline performers and the result is a very special ‘must see’ late-summer event, on the beach in Cornwall. What’s not to like?
Tickets are now on sale and although the bands won’t be announced until March, Looe Music Festival 2014 promises another superb line-up, and a family-friendly weekend to look forward to. Expect an eclectic line-up of local, national and international bands and solo artists, music workshops, and live music on every corner.

Two great wildlife video's, most was filmed in the Looe area
‘Cornwall - The Wild Peninsula’ follows the wildlife of Cornwall throughout the seasons of the year. Most visitors to Cornwall spend their time here visiting the fantastic beaches and tourist attractions, the locals know of another Cornwall - the one where an incredible amount of wildlife lives right here, on our doorsteps. This film is a celebration of those wild treasures. Quite a bit of the film was shot in the Looe area.
The Friends of Kilminorth Woods is a community based wildlife and conservation group that runs events throughout the year. Our group has a growing membership and a family feel.
We endeavour to cater for all age groups and abilities.

Walkaboutwest offer a professional guiding service on Bodmin Moor or across Cornwall. Mark Camp is a fully qualified Blue Badge Tour Guide and is one of only a handful of guides accredited to guide at Cornish Mining World Heritage sites in the county.
For Mark the moors mean open space and an abundance of history. He rarely has a day on the moor when he does not find something new to look at and his quest to document all of the prehistoric sites on the moor has led to him walking to some very distant corners of it.
