Reputed to be a former haunt for smugglers and sea faring men of the 16th Century, it was then known locally as "The Run" probably due to it's time honoured association with smuggling.

Experience the exquisite seasonal flavours of Cornwall in our award winning restaurant…
Here at Trelaske we take your culinary enjoyment very seriously. It's for this reason we use and source only the very best for you.
We like our guests to enjoy as much as Cornwall has to offer and we tailor our menus to include lots of locally sourced, fresh and seasonal ingredients. Delicious dishes from a dinner menu that changes daily and priced for everyone to enjoy no matter which dish you choose (we're happy not to charge any supplements from our dinner menus in our restaurant).
The style of the food is traditional British with modern twists so you can enjoy Cornish Crab Tian with Potato Rosti, Duck Leg Confit with Red Cabbage Slaw, day boat Sole with Basil Vinaigrette or 28 day hung Sirloin with Beetroot & Orange Salad and finish with Pimms Jelly & Trelaske Strawberries or Date & Orange pudding with clotted cream.
As Looe is one of the only day fishing ports in the country, firstly our guests can enjoy fresh fish caught the very same morning. Then, along with fresh local supplies our own two polytunnels work to produce fresh fruit and vegetables on-site. Plus, we also use rare breeds in our menus to help sustain native Cornish breeds and give you the extra flavour that the slower growing animals distinctly have.
All of this helps to minimize the impact on the environment whilst maximizing all that Cornwall has to offer in our carefully crafted menus which are imaginatively created, fresh and full of flavour - just for you.
With Ross the award winning chef working solely in the kitchen and Hazel leading every night in the restaurant quality and consistency are guaranteed every night and for every customer.
Please take a seat and just enjoy…
Two Courses including homemade bread, vegetables with the main course and coffee and mints to finish is £23.50 per person and three courses is £29.50 per person.
